Respect Life Month - October
Life Chain
Please join area pro-lifers on Sunday, October 1st from 2PM to 3PM for one of our local Life Chains. Signs will be provided. The Life Chain is a national effort with thousands of cities participating. It is a peaceful, prayerful witness to our belief in the sanctity of all human life. We will be praying for the millions of victims of abortion and all women in unplanned pregnancies, that they receive the good help that they deserve. We will also pray for all public officials, and for a deeper respect for the ill, the handicapped, and the aged. You need not address anyone, just stand holding a sign with a message of your choosing. Stand up for life with tens of thousands of pro-lifers throughout the United states and Canada. We will be hosting two locations:
Dubuque: Highway 20 at Bluff Street (Proceed on Bluff St towards Rt 20 and you will come upon a little gravel lot on your right side where you will pull into to park. (Staff will arrive at 1:30 so you should see others there already). For those who will plug it into their phones, it is directly across the street from 22 Bluff St, Dubuque, IA. Please call the office if you have questions.
Dyersville: Highway 136 at Beckman High School, 1325 9th St SE, Dyersville, IA 52040
Movie Night - Unplanned
In conjunction with the 40 Days for Life vigils, DCRTL Ambassadors for Life is hosting a community showing of the movie Unplanned on Saturday October 7th at 6:30PM in the St. Columbkille’s parish presentation hall. (1240 Rush St, Dubuque, IA 52003) Unplanned is the inspiring true story of one woman’s journey of transformation from Director at Planned Parenthood to an outspoken advocate for life with 40 Days for Life. This is a free showing, with popcorn and refreshments provided. This is an R rated movie due to the disturbing/bloody images of the abortion pill process.

Our mission is big – and our hearts are bigger. Through the steadfast dedication of our donors and volunteers, DCRTL continues to champion everyone’s right to life.
Life is ...
Life means so much to so many people. That’s why we encourage fellow pro-lifers to share what their little ones mean to them. Every month we feature different children from our community to help spread the joy that comes from choosing life.
